Nebraska hoops officially lands North Dakota State guard via transfer
Nebraska hoops has officially added a new member to the roster via transfer.
On Monday, the men’s basketball team announced the addition of Sam Griesel to the roster for the 2022-23 season. He comes to Nebraska after spending the past 4 years at North Dakota State. The Lincoln native helped the Bison capture a pair of Summit League Tournament titles in 2019 and 2020.
North Dakota State reached the 2019 NCAA Tournament. The 2020 event was canceled because of the pandemic.

Griesel will have 1 season of eligibility to use with the Huskers. He joins a team that finished the 2021-22 campaign with a 10-22 record, including a 4-16 record in B1G play.
While at North Dakota State, Griesel played in 99 games and made 87 starts. He was a first-team All-Summit League selection after averaging 14.3 points per game and shooting better than 48% from the floor. The senior guard also averaged 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
Over his 4 seasons with the Bison, Griesel scored 976 points, grabbed 558 rebounds and dished out 225 assists.
