Nebraska lands 2024 commitment from sought-after Texas RB
Nebraska recruiting has been hot in the month of June. Matt Rhule’s staff kept the momentum going Monday, landing a new commitment from a sought-after running back out of the Lone Star State.
Lancaster (Texas) standout Kewan Lacy is the newest pledge in the Huskers’ 2024 recruiting class. Lacy shared the big news on social media.

Lacy’s listed measurements are 6-feet, 205 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Lacy is rated 3-stars, the No. 43 running back, No. 94 Texas recruit and No. 551 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.
Lacy has picked up scholarship offers from 36 schools during his recruitment. In May, he named a top 6 of Nebraska, Arizona State, Baylor, Miami, Ole Miss and TCU.
With Lacy on board, the Huskers now have 18 commitments in their 2024 recruiting class. Eleven of those verbal pledges have come this month.
