Nebraska has been having success on and off the field as of late.
The Huskers are sitting at 2-0 with dominant wins over UTEP and Colorado. Then, on Monday, the Huskers landed a commitment from a 4-star in-state linebacker Christian Jones. Jones stars for Westside High School in Omaha.
The talented prospect took to social media to announce his commitment to his home state team.

Jones posted a video that featured his high school highlights and ended with the LB exiting a cornfield and stating “There’s no place like Nebraska.”
Jones is rated as a 4-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite ranking. The prospect is rated as the best player out of Nebraska for 2025 and is the 19th-best LB in the country. Jones received heavy interest from USC, Auburn, and Oklahoma, among others, before deciding to stay home.
In 2023, Jones racked up 55 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception. Jones’ impact wasn’t limited to the defense, however, as the talented prospect also caught 20 passes for 500 yards and 9 TDs in his junior season.
The Huskers are building an impressive 2025 recruiting class. The team currently has the No. 26 class in the country for 2025, ahead of schools like Ole Miss, Florida State, and South Carolina.
