Nebraska lands commitment from legacy recruit in class of 2024

Nebraska added a familiar name to the class of 2024 on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskers earned a commitment from punter Kamdyn Koch, the son of former Nebraska and NFL punter Sam Koch.

Koch will be on scholarship with the Huskers, according to his announcement.

“Just wanted to thank my family, more specifically my mom and dad for all the sacrifices and encouragement they have gave me over the years,” he wrote.

Koch’s father played for Nebraska from 2002-05. He was a 6th round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and went on to have a successful career in the NFL. He played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2006-2021.

Kamdyn attends Winters Mill High School in Westminster, Maryland.
