Nebraska lands commitment from OL, key in-state prospect for class of 2023
Nebraska is still putting the pieces together for Matt Rhule’s initial recruiting class with the Huskers. On Monday, the program landed a pledge from another in-state prospect ahead of the Early Signing Period.
The player is Mason Goldman, a 3-star offensive lineman out of Gretna, Nebraska. Goldman first received his offer from the Huskers in October and commits following a recent visit to Lincoln.

“Huge thank you to all of my family, friends, teachers and coaches over the years for showing me that this game is about more than just football,” wrote Goldman in his announcement. “I would also like to thank the community of Gretna for always supporting me and my teammates… With that being said, I am super excited to announce that I am now COMMITTED to the University of Nebraska!”
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 260 lbs., Goldman is a 3-star prospect and the No. 101 OT nationally per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He also rates as the No. 11 prospect in Nebraska for the cycle.
Goldman’s commitment gives Nebraska pledges from 6 of the top 11 in-state players for the class of 2023, a solid start for Rhule’s tenure in Lincoln. Four of those players are offensive linemen.
