The Nebraska Cornhuskers have landed a talented WR via the transfer portal.

Billy Kemp, formerly of the Virginia Cavaliers, took to Twitter to announce his decision to transfer to the Huskers.

Kemp had 16 catches for 116 yards for the Cavaliers in 2022. Kemp’s production was down in 2022 after being limited to 7 games due to injury. Kemp had at least 65 catches and 600+ yards in the previous 2 seasons.

The addition of Kemp could be huge for the Huskers, as leading receiver Trey Palmer has declared for the 2023 NFL Draft. Palmer set multiple Husker records in 2022, so replacing his production will be no easy task.

Kemp also has experience in the return game, having returned 64 punts in his college career. He was originally a 3-star WR in the class of 2018. After 5 seasons in Virginia, Kemp announced his decision to enter the portal in December.
