Utah’s loss is Nebraska’s gain as Vaha Vainuku appears to be headed to Lincoln.

The former Ute lineman has no available statistics and is older than most college players. Vainuku was a member of Utah’s 2012 recruiting class but went on a two-year Mormon mission before arriving for the 2015 season. Following his time off, he redshirted with Utah.

According to his bio on Utah, Vainuku bench presses 460-pounds, which was the most on Utah’s team at one point. His cousin Sione Pouha played for Utah before moving on to play in the NFL for the Jets.
