Nebraska lands WR out of New Mexico State via transfer
Nebraska continues to revamp its offense and the Huskers have added a talented receiver out of New Mexico State via the transfer portal.
The commitment came on Friday with Isaiah Garcia-Castaneda announcing his decision on Twitter. Garcia-Castaneda spent 2 seasons with the Aggies after getting his start in the JUCO ranks.

During the 2021 season, Garcia-Castaneda finished 2nd on New Mexico State with 567 yards receiving. That came on 36 catches with 4 receiving touchdowns at 15.8 yards per catch.
Garcia-Castaneda’s decision is the second key decision from a wideout on the day for Nebraska. Earlier Friday morning, 2022 WR Decoldest Crawford officially signed with the Huskers after previously being committed to LSU. Crawford heads to Nebraska to team up with Mickey Joseph, the assistant who originally recruited him to LSU during Joseph’s time in Baton Rouge.
