Nebraska got good news on Monday morning as OLB Caleb Tannor is returning for a 5th season. The defense of Nebraska was a lone strong unit in what otherwise was a dismal season for the Huskers and Scott Frost finishing 3-9 and 1-8 in B1G play.

This season, Tannor for the Huskers, played in all 12 games, had 33 tackles, 15 of which were solo, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3 pass deflections, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Tannor coming back is massive news for the Huskers, especially with OLB JoJo Domann leaving for the NFL. The Huskers had 6 seniors on last season’s defense and will need to do an excellent job of reloading if they want to improve their record in 2022.

Nebraska has restructured Head coach Scott Frost’s contract, fired 4 offensive coaches, hired 3 new offensive coaches and a special teams coordinator, and got a transfer QB in Casey Thompson from Texas.

Frost has everything set up for him to succeed in 2022 potentially, but time is running out as he needs to improve his 15-29, 10-25 B1G record in a hurry before it’s too late.
