Nebraska has had a rough day against Illinois, but everyone’s thoughts are now with senior linebacker Collin Miller.

Miller is a leader with Nebraska’s defense and was having a solid year with the Huskers. He had 23 tackles and two tackles for loss entering the Week 5 game against Nebraska.

Unfortunately, Miller was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after staying down following one play. It was not apparent what exactly happened on the play, but trainers and medical personnel could be seen working to stabilize Miller’s neck and back before taking him off on the stretcher.

It was certainly a somber moment in what has been a lopsided game in Lincoln. Every player on both teams could be seen taking a knee during the long delay.

Hopefully everything turns out to be okay for Miller with the stretcher just a necessary precaution. Stay tuned for more details about his injury and situation following the game.
