Once again Nebraska fans have shown exactly why they’re considered to be one of the best bases in the country.

For the second-straight year, Nebraska packed Memorial Stadium for the annual spring game, leading the nation in attendance. This year, 85,946 fans packed in to see the Huskers take the field, preparing for Year 2 of the Scott Frost era.

Last year, 86,818 attended the spring game, setting a new program record. This year’s total ranks second.

Nebraska was the leader following the April 13 spring games but last weekend was the last hoorah for most of the major programs. With elite programs concluding their spring practice, the Huskers will again lead the nation in spring game attendance.

There’s plenty of reason to be excited about the program in 2019, despite coming off a 4-8 campaign. Adrian Martinez is considered a Heisman contender and a slew of talent is joining the roster in Lincoln. This, in addition to the strong finish in 2018, gives fans hope regarding success under Frost.

Fans have certainly shown support for Frost and the Huskers even during the spring game.
