The college football regular season has unfortunately come to a close, and as we await bowl season, award season is upon us. Across the country in the coming weeks, college football players from across the country will be rewarded for their accolades on and off the field.

Former Nebraska OL Zach Wiegert is getting inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame Tuesday. Wiegert was a former Outland Trophy winner, and he talked about how Nebraska needs to get back to have great offensive line play.

“We used to be an offensive line factory and we need to get back to being that,” said Wiegert, according to Lauren Michelson of Channel8ABC in Lincoln.

The Huskers finished the season 4-8 overall and 3-6 in B1G play.

New head coach Matt Rhule got to Lincoln a little over seven days ago and has already hit the recruiting trail. The Husker faithful are hoping that Rhule can bring back the pipeline that terrorized defensive lines back in the 1990s.
