Nebraska loses pledge from 3-star edge out of Texas
Nebraska made a late push to grab a commitment from one defender out of Texas. However, that player is now back on the market after reopening his recruitment on Saturday night.
The player is Jaxon Lee, a 3-star edge recruit out of Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas. The Huskers earned his commitment in October before he reopened his recruitment.
“I sincerely thank Coach Rhule, Coach White, Coach Dvoracek and Coach Cooper for the opportunity,” wrote Lee on social media. “At this time, I would like to decommit from Nebraska.”

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Lee is a 3-star recruit and the No. 80 edge in the country for the class of 2024. Lee also spent time committed to Texas Tech and held other offers from Memphis and North Texas, among others.
With Lee reopening his recruitment, Nebraska now holds 25 commitments for the class of 2024. That group is rated 22nd nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
