Nebraska makes adjustments to future schedules
Nebraska has made some adjustments to its future football schedules, the school announced on Thursday.
According to the school, it has moved a 2021 game against Northern Illinois to 2027 and will also play Louisiana Tech in 2023. The addition of the Bulldogs to the 2023 slate now rounds out the schedule for the non-conference season that year.
The Huskers will play at Colorado, vs. Northern Illinois and Louisiana Tech in 2023 now.
Nebraska has played Louisiana Tech twice in the past, winning both contests. The Huskers won a 1998 contest 56-27 and a 2006 meeting 49-10. Both games were played in Lincoln.
By moving Northern Illinois to 2027, Nebraska would need to add one more opponent to the 2021 schedule. Currently the Huskers are on the hook to play Buffalo and at Oklahoma.
After rescheduling with the Huskers at a later date, Northern Illinois added a game against Georgia Tech to its 2021 schedule.
