Nebraska has received some good news on the recruiting front, as it’s still in the running for one of the best tight ends in the 2022 class.

Monday, 4-star tight end Carsen Ryan revealed his Top 6 schools, with the Huskers still in the hunt. Nebraska is in the mix with Washington, UCLA, Virginia, Colorado, and BYU. Ryan has received 16 offers on the recruiting trail thus far.

Per 247Sports, Carsen ranks as the No. 11 tight end in the 2022 cycle. The Utah native is also listed as the second-best prospect from his home state and ranks as the No. 262 over player nationally, regardless of position.

From 247Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo:

Broad shouldered, wide frame with projectable length. Well rounded tight end and physical blocker at line of scrimmage. Athletic pass-catcher for his size and ability to get open up the seam. Good ball skills and high-point concentration. Efficient red zone target who does well to box out defenders. Can get open underneath and pick up yards after catch.

Ryan’s 2019 stats have him totaling 31 catches for 318 yards and 5 touchdowns at the high school level. Clearly, there’s a lot to like about the 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end.

Nebraska currently does not have any commitments in the 2022 recruiting class.
