Nebraska is coming off a 56-7 blowout  win of Northwestern to improve to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in B1G play.

Offensive coordinator Matt Lubick provided good news on Freshman TE Thomas Fidone Tuesday morning.

“Fidone has returned to practice,” said Lubick, according to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald.

Fidone has returned to practice for the Huskers; Fidone was dealing with a knee injury all off-season.

Fidone is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound TE out of Council Bluffs, IA. He was a 4-star recruit and the No. 2 TE in the class of 2021 and No. 1 in the state of Iowa according to 247sports composite rankings.

The Huskers have some pretty good players in TE right now in Austin Allen and Travis Vokolek.

Allen, this season has 17 receptions for 163 yards on 9.6 yards per reception and o touchdowns.

Vokolek for the Huskers has 3 catches for 61 yards on 20.3 yards per reception and o touchdowns.

Adding Fidone should only help the Huskers in the TE rotation.

This weekend, the Huskers have a tall task as No. 9 Michigan comes to town for a game under the lights at 7:30 ET on ABC.
