Nebraska’s offense bogged down time and time again in the first half vs. North Dakota. Fortunately, that unit opened up the second half with a big scoring drive.
The Huskers made quick work of the drive to open the third quarter, using 6 plays to roll 75 yards down the field. The drive was capped with a 19-yard strike from quarterback Casey Thompson to tight end Nate Boerkircher to go up, 14-7.

On the drive, Thompson threw for 54 yards and accounted for another 10 on a rush. Hopefully, that quick strike is enough to plug the offense and get things rolling in the right direction.
Unfortunately for Nebraska, the start of game and start of half drives have not been the issue with the Huskers scoring on both occasions in the season opener and in Saturday’s game against North Dakota. We’ll see if the Huskers can make adjustments and score multiple times in the second half.
