An old rivalry will be renewed this year, when Nebraska makes the trip to Norman to play Oklahoma. It’s now a nonconference matchup in what used to be one of the biggest rivalries in the Big 12.

Kickoff isn’t until Saturday, Sept. 18, but already, FanDuel SportsBook has released the early line for the game. The Huskers are a major underdog to the Sooners.

Right now, Oklahoma is an 18-point favorite for the Week 3 matchup. The Sooners finished the 2020 season with a 9-2 record while the Huskers closed out the year with a 3-5 mark.

The two teams have played 86 times with Oklahoma owning a 45-38-3 lead in the all-time series. The last matchup came in 2010, with the Sooners on the winning side of a 23-20 decision in the Big 12 Championship Game. The Huskers have won just two times in the last eight meetings.

Nebraska will open the season against Illinois in Week 0 before playing Fordham and Buffalo in back-to-back weeks at home.
