Nebraska picked up a commitment from another offensive playmaker Saturday afternoon as the Huskers try to build out the 2023 recruiting class.

This time, the commitment came from Barry Jackson, a 3-star receiver out of Ellenwood, Georgia. Listed at 5-foot-11 and 175 lbs., Jackson held offers from Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Mississippi State and UCF among others before announcing his commitment live from Cedar Grove High School.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Jackson checks in as a 3-star prospect and No. 147 WR in the country for the class of 2023. Jackson joins fellow 3-star prospects Jaidyn Doss out of Missouri and Benjamin Brahmer out of Nebraska to commit to the Huskers.

According to Michael Bruntz with Husker 247, Jackson credited a relationship with the Huskers coaching staff – including new WRs coach Mickey Joseph – as part of the reasoning for his decision.

“The coaching staff. They made me feel like I was at home,” Jackson said. “And the players, they gave me a lot of support.”
