Nebraska puts No. 23 Ohio State on upset alert with hot first half in Columbus

Nebraska is taking a lead into halftime over No. 23 Ohio State in Columbus after a hot-shooting half for the Huskers.
It did not start off all Nebraska. Ohio State took a little bit to find its footing but finally built a solid lead over the Huskers.
A 3-point field goal by Justin Ahrens made it a 7-point lead for the Buckeyes at 26-19 with just over 9 minutes left before halftime.

The rest of the first half was a different story with the Huskers getting out on the fastbreak and shooting the ball well before the break. Bryce McGowens produced one high-flying dunk to punctuate a solid stretch for Nebraska as the Huskers raced to a 43-39 lead at halftime.

Coming out of the break, McGowens has 12 points while C.J. Wilcher leads Nebraska with 13 points off the bench. As a team, the Huskers shot 55.6% from the floor and 6-for-12 from 3-point range in the first half. E.J. Liddell leads Ohio State with 13 points while Malaki Branham has 10.
