The first two weeks of the Scott Frost era at Nebraska have been heartbreaking. In Week 1, the Huskers blew a late lead to fall to Colorado. This week, they couldn’t dig out of a 17-point hole against Troy.

It’s not just that Nebraska is 0-2 after two games, it’s that it could very easily be 2-0 heading into Saturday’s matchup against No. 19 Michigan.

Following Saturday’s 24-19 loss to Troy, junior running back Wyatt Mazour issued a statement to fans, promising him that he and his teammates will figure things out and get it turned around in Lincoln.

“Husker Nation, stick with us,” Mazour wrote in a Twitter post. “I promise y’all, we’re gunna figure this thing out.”

Nebraska was without starting quarterback Adrian Martinez on Saturday afternoon, which was another key component in the team’s loss. He was injured at the end of the Colorado game.

After an 0-2 start in non-conference play, the Huskers travel to Ann Arbor to take on No. 19 Michigan to open B1G play.
