Nebraska is preparing for a major Week 2 matchup against Colorado in nonconference play. The Huskers received some good news ahead of kickoff in regard to the pre-game availability report.

When the Huskers dropped their report, only linebacker Javin Wright was included. The rest of the Huskers not out for the season will be available, and that’s major news for a game the magnitude of the matchup vs. Colorado.

Last season, injuries were a major storyline for the Huskers, in particular on the offensive side of the ball. For now, that hasn’t been the case, and that’s good news for starting quarterback Dylan Raiola.

With a clean availability report, look for Nebraska to continue rotating 4 running backs similar to the season opener. While some teams might want to lean on a single workhorse back, head coach Matt Rhule admitted he liked at times rolling all 4 into the game to have fresh legs on the field.

It’s also a positive sign for the receiving room with its newfound depth anchored by Isaiah Neyor and Jahmal Banks. If the injuries remain at bay, it could lend itself to an attempt to redshirt sophomore receiver Malachi Coleman who saw the field throughout his true freshman season as injuries mounted.
