Nebraska will head north this upcoming November to once again play at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Huskers announced on Thursday they’ve agreed to a nonconference matchup with Oregon State that’ll take place Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Sanford Pentagon. It’ll be the second time NU has played at the venue, with the first coming in a 79-56 win over Oklahoma State in December of 2018. Husker fans traveled well for that showdown, so it’s no surprise the program is making a return.

Ticket information will be made available at a later date, the program said in a release. No tip time has been set at this point.

“Playing at the Sanford Pentagon against Oregon State is a great opportunity for our basketball team,” Husker coach Fred Hoiberg said. “We are thankful to Sanford Sports for including the University of Nebraska in this game for a second time. We have a lot of alumni in the Sioux Falls area, so I expect there to be a lot of red and white in the crowd in November which will help make for a phenomenal atmosphere for a college basketball game.”

This will be Oregon State’s first trip to the Sanford Pentagon. The Beavers finished the 2022-23 season with an 11-21 record. Despite the losing record, it was a significant improvement over the previous year when Oregon State won just 3 games and was one of the worst high-major teams in the country.

The meeting between the Huskers and Beavers will be the 11th all-time matchup. Oregon State leads the series 6-4, but Nebraska took the last meeting in 2009 — a 50-44 victory at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
