Some coaches like to start spring practices before spring break and let players get back to it after taking a week off. For his first spring at Nebraska, Matt Rhule is opting to let Huskers players go on spring break before getting on the practice field.

Nebraska revealed its spring practice schedule on Monday. March 19, the last day of UNL spring break, marks the beginning of spring ball for Rhule’s squad. The first of 15 practices will be held on March 20. The Red-White Spring Game serves as the final practice on April 22, a date previously announced by athletic director Trev Alberts in December.

Fans at Memorial Stadium will be treated to a new-look Nebraska squad. Rhule hit the ground running when it came to recruiting prospects out of high school and in the NCAA transfer portal. The Huskers have added 7 early enrollees and 11 transfers to the roster for spring. The remaining 21 signees in the Class of 2023 signees will be enrolling later.
