On Friday, Nebraska and Ohio State took to the softball diamond in the B1G Tournament semifinals. It proved to be a drama-packed afternoon between the two sides.
Both sides broke through with a lone run in the 4th inning. The score remained at 1-all into the bottom of the 7th when the Huskers came to bat.
That is when Nebraska broke through in quick and dramatic fashion. Kaylin Kinney led off the inning with a double to put the Huskers in scoring position right out of the gate.

Kinney remained stuck at second for the first out, bringing Olivia Ferrell to the plate. Ferrell responded with a shot into right field and Kinney scored before the relay could be made.

The walk-off puts Nebraska into the B1G Championship on Saturday against the winner of Michigan-Northwestern. The Huskers are looking for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016.
