Cornhuskers defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt seemed to know the game was over before it even started against Minnesota.

He spoke after the game and said that when the team woke up in the morning, he could tell that all the players weren’t ready to play, as could head coach Scott Frost.

The Cornhuskers stumbled out of the game in the 1st half as Minnesota had its way with them. The Golden Gophers scored 21 points to go up 12 going into halftime and that proved to be enough, even though Nebraska outscored Minnesota 14-9 in the 2nd half.

Adrian Martinez finished with 241 yards passing and 1 touchdown pass but was also the victim of a controversial call in the 2nd half. It looked like he potentially got to the pylon on 3rd-and-goal but was ruled just shy which led to Nebraska getting stuffed on 4th down.

It was a huge swing in the game that Nebraska couldn’t overcome. The loss dropped the Cornhuskers to 3-5 and even Scott Frost knows his squad wasn’t as fired up as they should’ve been.

Nebraska will get Purdue on Oct. 30 for its next game.
