Nebraska stuns No. 15 UCLA as Big Ten play resumes
Nebraska welcomed UCLA to Lincoln on Saturday afternoon in a B1G clash. The Bruins entered the matchup as the No. 15 team in the nation while the Huskers were unranked.
In the 1st half, defense was the main story with both teams heading to the break with just 24 points. In the 2nd, however, the Huskers were able to muster just enough offense to outscore the Bruins and allow the team to pull off a major upset, winning 66-58.

Brice Williams led the way for the Huskers, finishing with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Sam Hoiberg had a nice game off the bench, collecting 3 steals to go with 7 points and 3 boards.
The win was Nebraska‘s 2nd ranked victory of the season after their win over No. 14 Creighton in November. The Huskers now improve to 2-1 in B1G play, with their wins against UCLA and Indiana and their lone loss against Michigan State. The team could be on the verge of being ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
The Bruins also end Saturday with a 2-1 B1G record. Before losing to Nebraska, the Bruins had wins over Washington and No. 12 Oregon. In addition to Nebraska, the Bruins have losses to New Mexico and North Carolina.
Next up, the Huskers have back-to-back B1G road games against Iowa and Purdue. The team will then return to Lincoln for a matchup against Rutgers.
