Nebraska takes commanding lead vs. Penn State after scoop-and-score
There’s still time for a comeback, but it sure looks like Nebraska is going to blow out Penn State on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskers have lead the whole way so far, and just took their biggest advantage of the game thanks to a scoop-and-score in the second quarter.
Here’s the play, which gave Nebraska a 24-3 lead:

That’s an outstanding play by senior safety Deontai Williams. That was his third career forced fumble and his second career fumble recovery.
This was Clifford’s second turnover of the day, and it may have been his last. Coach James Franklin benched Clifford on the following drive.
Penn State is hoping to avoid an 0-4 start for the first time since 2001. Nebraska is also searching for its first win of the season.
