Nebraska TE Austin Allen announces he won't return for 2022, will declare for NFL Draft
Austin Allen has been having a great year for Nebraska. So much so, that the tight end is getting notice from those around the NFL.
The 5th-year junior announced that he intends to declare for the NFL Draft and will not be returning for his senior season. He posted a video talking about his decision via Twitter on Tuesday night.

Allen has 920 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns after his time with Nebraska. His 547 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns this year have put him in some elite company.

Allen’s numbers make him the leader among Big Ten tight ends in receiving yards, 6th among Power 5 TEs, and 13th among all TEs. Allen’s final game as a Cornhuskers will take place against No. 16 Iowa. The Hawkeyes (9-2) and Huskers (3-8) meet Friday at 1:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
The 2022 NFL Draft will be in Las Vegas, Nevada, from April 28th to April 30th.
