Nebraska (3-7; 1-6 on B1G play) is looking to finish the 2021 season on a strong note with two games remaining. The Huskers are looking to create a potential upset in Madison as they take on No. 15 Wisconsin (7-3; 5-2 in B1G play). One player that will not be participating against Wisconsin is redshirt freshman running back Rahmir Johnson.
It was reported by Sam McKewon of the Ohama World-Herald that Johnson has not come out for pre-game warmups and will likely not play for Nebraska on Saturday. Freshman Jaquez Yant will be the starting running back for Nebraska against Wisconsin’s efficient run defense.
Unless Rahmir Johnson emerges from the locker room, the backs today appear to be Stepp, Yant, Scott and Jewett (and Belt, in a sense.)

Johnson is the team’s leading running back this season, only behind dual-threat quarterback Adrian Martinez. Johnson has rushed for 495 yards and four touchdowns on 112 carries.
Nebraska is already thin at the running back position as freshman Sevion Morrison will not return for next season. Morrison missed the matchup versus #5 Ohio State two weeks ago due to a family issue.
