Nebraska unveils virtual Senior Day messages from friends and family
Nebraska is just one of a number of teams around the country gearing up for a Senior Day unlike any other.
For starters, there remains a lack of clarity around the possibility that this might not be the last home game of the season. The B1G still has yet to set the schedule for Week 9, meaning there’s a chance the Huskers play in Lincoln during Champions Week.
Beyond that, the lack of fans at B1G games means these seniors will be running into a mostly empty stadium on Saturday. It will definitely be missing a lot of the emotional atmosphere that traditionally surrounds a normal Senior Day.
Since players will be without most family and friends in the stands, Nebraska put together a virtual Senior Day video for the Huskers. This is just the latest example of the oddities surrounding the sport during a pandemic:

Saturday’s kickoff against Minnesota is set for 12 pm EST on FS1.
