Nebraska volleyball is off to a dominant start in B1G play, rolling past Michigan State with a 3-set sweep in East Lansing. The Thursday night match went to the Huskers with set wins of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-9.

After opening B1G play with a home sweep of the Spartans, Nebraska made it two sweeps over Michigan State for 2022. The Huskers are 5-0 to begin the conference slate and have played just a single 5-set match to this point. Nebraska is currently 15-3 in the 18 sets of B1G play so far.

One of the stars from Thursday night was Madi Kubik. She led a trio of Huskers tied for the team lead with 8 kills (Bekka Allick and Whitney Lauenstein the others) and set up match point with a particularly vicious swing.

The Huskers’ leader in blocks for the match was Kaitlyn Hord. She produced 6 blocks to lead all players in the match.

Kenzie Knuckles had an impact for Nebraska as a serve. She produced 2 aces which tied Michigan State’s Jayhlin Swain for the most in the match.

Nebraska will move on to face Michigan in Ann Arbor Saturday evening. That game is set for 7 pm ET.
