Nebraska will have new faces at the kicker, punter positions in 2020
Nebraska’s special teams were often a weakness a season ago, but the Cornhuskers will have new contributors available for the 2020 season.
Huskers coach Scott Frost announced Thursday that LSU transfer Connor Culp will be the team’s starting kicker this weekend. William Przystup will be the team’s punter as Daniel Cerni nurses an injury.
LSU transfer Connor Culp will be the #Huskers' kicker on Saturday.
Przystup will punt Saturday. Daniel Cerni will not be available, but Frost says the injury he's nursing isn't season-ending.

Przystup was often used as the school’s kickoff specialist last season, but this will be his first game as a punter for Nebraska. He was Michigan State’s punter in 2018, recording an average of 40.6 yards per punt on 27 attempts.
Cerni is a true freshman from Australia who is expected to play at some point this season.
The Huskers will hope that Culp can become their answer at kicker. Nebraska used six different kickers to attempt either an extra point or a field goal in 2019. His last game action for the Tigers came in 2017. He finished 11-of-16 on field goals and 20-of-23 on extra points for LSU.
Kickoff for Nebraska’s opener vs. Ohio State is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
