According to a report from the Lincoln Journal-Star, Nebraska receivers coach Keith Williams was cited for driving under the influence early on Sunday morning.

The Journal-Star’s Brian Christopherson reported that the incident occurred after Williams was involved in a two-car accident in downtown Lincoln.

Christopherson reported that Nebraska athletics was aware of the situation and that they were investigating the matter further. They declined a comment.

According to the Omaha World-Herald’s Sam McKewon, Williams had a blood alcohol content level of over .15, which is nearly twice the legal limit. He is reportedly still in jail as of Sunday afternoon.

Williams has been integral in the “Calibraska” movement. The Husker receiving coach helped lock down commitments from the likes of four-star 2017 California recruits Keyshawn Johnson Jr. and Tristan Gebbia.

Williams was actually helping Nebraska host five-star 2017 receiver Joseph Lewis this weekend.

The second-year assistant is expected to lead one of the top group of receivers in the country. The Huskers return nearly all of their pass-catchers from 2015.
