The transfer portal has opened for undergraduate entry, and a Nebraska wide receiver has decided to find a new home.

Alante Brown announced Saturday that he is leaving the program after 3 seasons. Brown thanked the 3 head coaches of his time in Lincoln: Scott Frost, Mickey Joseph and Matt Rhule.

Brown has 2 remaining seasons of eligibility.

A 5-11, 190-pound wide receiver, Brown played in 29 games over 3 seasons for the Huskers. He had 3 receptions in each of his first 2 seasons, logging 17 appearances.

Brown posted his first double-digit reception season in 2022. He logged 16 catches for 191 yards, with a long of 32 yards against Illinois. He played in every game of the 2022 campaign, making 10 starts.

A native of Chicago, Brown picked up 12 scholarship offers. He chose Nebraska over Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Florida State, Missouri, Ole Miss and others.
