Nebraska receiver Demariyon Houston has entered the transfer portal.

Houston announced that decision on Saturday afternoon.

“To the Husker Friends, Family & Fans thank you for always supporting me,” Houston said in the note. “Unfortunately things have not transpired how I intended, therefore I am now looking for a new place to call home and officially entering the transfer portal.”

Houston is originally from Millwood, Oklahoma. He was apart of Nebraska’s 2019 recruiting class. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he was the No. 403 overall player and the No. 49 receiver in the nation for that cycle.

He also had offers from Texas, Alabama and Auburn. Houston was committed to the Longhorns for several months during his recruitment.

However, Houston never caught on at Nebraska. He redshirted in 2019 and didn’t appear in a game as a freshman in 2020.

Thanks to an NCAA waiver in response to the pandemic, Houston will still have four years of eligibility at his next program.
