Nebraska WR, OL reportedly no longer with program entering spring practices
A Nebraska WR and an OL from the 2022 team are reportedly no longer with the team as the Huskers get set for spring practices.
According to Mitch Sherman with The Athletic, wide receiver Alante Brown and offensive lineman Hunter Anthony are no longer with the Huskers. Anthony transferred into the program after beginning his college career at Oklahoma State while Brown as a prospect in Nebraska’s 2020 recruiting class.
During the 2022 season, Brown started 10 games for Nebraska and finished 5th on the team with 16 catches for 191 yards. He has 22 catches for 262 yards across 3 seasons with the Huskers.
According to Sherman, Nebraska still remains around 100 players on scholarship so more outgoing players are to be expected throughout the spring
WR Alante Brown is currently not with the Nebraska football team and not enrolled at the university, according to a program official. Brown started 10 games last year as a sophomore and caught 16 passes for 191 yards. His future status with the Huskers remains undetermined.

Offensive lineman Hunter Anthony, who transferred last year from Oklahoma State, is also no longer with the Huskers.
Nebraska remains around 100 on scholarship returnees + signed newcomers, so there will be additional attrition.

Some turnover is always expected with a new coaching staff, and that is certainly no different with Matt Rhule taking the helm in Lincoln. He has added 11 players via the transfer portal while signing 28 high school prospects in a 2023 recruiting class that ranked 24th nationally per the 247 Sports Team Composite Rankings.
