Nebraska WR room juggling multiple injuries in training camp

The Nebraska WR room is a bit banged up at this point in camp and dealing with players. Fortunately, none of those injuries currently appear to be serious or long-term.
On Tuesday, head coach Matt Rhule confirmed Marcus Washington — the team’s second-leading receiver a season ago — had been banged up but he returned to action. Unfortunately, Washington was dinged up again and will be out for a few days.
Zavier Betts and freshman Malachi Coleman were also out of Tuesday’s practice but are expected to be back in practice soon. Betts did not play in 2022 and Coleman is a major recruit that arrived at Nebraska via the 2023 recruiting class.
Nebraska’s WR depth has taken a hit this week. Marcus Washington came back from a hand injury and got hurt. He’s out for a few days.
Also, no Zavier Betts and Malachi Coleman at practice today. They’re expected back soon. In the meantime, more reps for the likes of Alex Bullock.

College football programs are used to juggling injuries and dealing with players getting dinged up in training camp. Hopefully, the WR room for the Huskers is back to full strength in the near future with the season opener right around the corner.
