Nebraska's Adrian Martinez has epic save during postgame interview: 'We played our...tails off'
On Saturday, the Huskers got in the win column against the FCS Fordham Rams with a 52-7 blowout win in front of a sold-out crowd to keep the sellout streak alive at 376 games.
A game the Huskers definitely needed after losing last week in Champaign, IL., against the Illinois Fighting Illini 30-22 to start 0-1 in the division.
After the game QB, Adrian Martinez was interviewed by a BTN reporter and had a near slip up on television but caught himself just in time.
Adrian Martinez ALMOST says “play our balls off.” Nice recovery! 😆🤣 #GBR #Huskers #GoBigRed pic.twitter.com/pbKt3LTRpF

Martinez for the Huskers played well on a Saturday as he was 17-23 for a 73.9% completion rate on 154 yards passing and 1 touchdown; he also ran for 2 touchdowns in Saturday’s win against the Rams.
The Huskers will need Martinez to play like that more often as they have a daunting schedule ahead that includes No.2 Oklahoma, No.4 Ohio State, No. 12 Wisconsin and No.18 Iowa
The Huskers are 1-1 (0-1 in B1G) to the start of the season, and next up, they face the Buffalo Bulls out of the MAC. That game will be on at 3:30 ET on BTN.
