Nebraska's Adrian Martinez wins Manning Award Quarterback of the Week
Nebraska finally did it.
It took until Week 8, but the Cornhuskers won a football game this season. Nebraska defeated Minnesota 53-28 and the offense was in full control of the game.
Leading the way was freshman QB Adrian Martinez. Martinez doesn’t just do it with his arm, but his legs as well. Through the air, Martinez went 25-of-29 for 276 yards and 3 TD. Impressive, right?
On the ground, he added 125 yards and a TD, too. That’s one heck of a performance.
It’s also a performance that got national attention as well. On Thursday, it was announced that Martinez won the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week for Week 8:
