The Nebraska defense has gotten shredded in Week 8 against the Indiana Hoosiers. To start the 4th quarter, the Huskers were in a 42-7 hole in Bloomington.

Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke had another fine outing with 189 passing yards and 1 touchdown. The Hoosiers have had success on the ground as well, racking up 156 rushing yards to this point. In total, the Hoosiers racked up over 400 total yards of offense with the game well into the 4th quarter.

Naturally, social media has been on fire with fans and media labeling the Huskers as fraudulent.

Coming into this game, the Huskers had the No. 13 total defense in the country. Although, as many have pointed out, the numbers may have been inflated by the team playing a weak schedule. Indiana and Illinois are the only ranked teams Nebraska has played, and the Illini scored 31 while the Hoosiers already have 49 points.

The Husker defense held UTEP, Northern Iowa, Colorado, Purdue, and Rutgers to 37 combined points. The defense has allowed more points than that just to Indiana in Week 8.
