Entering Sunday, Garrett Anglim did not have a home run yet for his career at Nebraska. He changed that in a big way during the first game of a double-header.

Facing off against Iowa, Anglim set the tone early for the Huskers. He put Nebraska up right away in the bottom of the 1st inning with a solo shot for his first career home run.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Anglim added on to what was already a 4-0 lead for the Huskers. This time, it was a 2-run blast to the opposite field to make it 6-0.

Anglim made his way back into the batter’s box in the bottom of the 3rd with Nebraska in complete control. Anglim made sure to keep it that way with his 3rd home run of the day, another 2-run shot to make it 11-1, Nebraska.

It is the first 3-HR game for a Husker since 2001:

When it was all said and done, Nebraska finished with a 12-1 rout over the Hawkeyes. Anglim finished the game 3-for-4 with 5 RBI and 3 runs scored for the Huskers.
