Nebraska's Lat Mayen leaves court following scary collision with Pete Nance
Nebraska has a double-digit lead over Northwestern to open the B1G Tournament, heading to halftime up 39-25 in first-round action.
Early on, Lat Mayen was a key part of that start for the Huskers. He had 6 points and 5 rebounds in the first half and produced one impressive putback on the offensive side of the floor.
Unfortunately, Mayen was dinged up and left the game following that putback. After falling to the ground, Northwestern’s Pete Nance landed awkwardly on Mayen’s head and neck.
Mayen would stay down for a minute before leaving the court in his own power. His status has not been updated to this point.
Look at @lattmayen fly for the putback. 😲

Fortunately, the rest of Nebraska’s starters played very well in the first half. Derrick Walker led the way with a game-high 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting at the break while Alonzo Verge Jr. is on triple-double watch. Verge entered halftime with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals for the Huskers.
Tune into BTN for the second half.
