Two Huskers have now been selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In the seventh round on Saturday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys selected offensive guard Matt Farniok at No. 238 overall. He was the second player out of Nebraska selected, joining Brenden Jaimes who was taken in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Chargers.

The 6-foot-6, 330-pound lineman was a team captain for the Huskers during the 2019 and 2020 seasons and earned Honorable Mention All-B1G honors following the end of last season. Nebraska finished the year with a 3-5 record.

Farniok started in 36 career games with the Huskers and appeared in a total of 39 contests. He started every game in his final three seasons, mostly at offensive guard but also switching to center for one contest in 2020.

Farniok was also a four-time Academic All-B1G selection.Far
