Wan’Dale Robinson has been a special player at Nebraska all season, and now he’s receiving some national attention for his excellence on the field.

Thursday morning, Robinson was one of four finalists named for the Paul Hornung Award, an honor presented to the nation’s most versatile player in college football. The four finalists for the award are:

  • Lynn Bowden, WR – Kentucky
  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB — LSU
  • Joe Reed, WR — Virginia
  • Wan’Dale Robinson, WR/RB — Nebraska

Robinson is a true freshman this season and has made an incredible impact in the rushing and passing game for the Husker offense. He’s currently the team’s third leading rusher with 326 yards and three touchdowns on 85 carries, as well as Nebraska’s second-most productive receiver with 453 yards and two scores on 40 receptions.

The freshman also has 236 yards on 11 kickoff returns.

Last year’s winner of the Paul Hornung Award was Purdue freshman wide receiver Rondale Moore.
