New Nebraska offensive coordinator Matt Lubick knows what it’s going to take to be successful in Lincoln. And while the expectations may be high for one of college football’s blueblood programs, Lubick is more than willing to put in the work to restore glory to Huskers football.

Recently, Lubick talked about joining the Nebraska staff, his relationship with head coach Scott Frost and what it means to be in Lincoln. He posted the video to his Twitter account to share with Big Red Nation.

There were plenty of interesting remarks Lubick made throughout the video, talking about his time away from football, his admiration for legendary coach Tom Osborne and the passion the Nebraska fanbase brings every game. At the end of the video, he made a promise to Nebraska fans, saying he’ll give everything he’s got to get the program back in the national spotlight.

“It’s people that really care about their team, win or lose. Which is rare in today’s culture,” Lubick said, talking about Husker fans. “I just want to do my best to get back to the standard that the Nebraska fans expect and you can have my word as a football coach that I’m going to give everything I’ve got to make you guys proud.”
