Northwestern will be leaning on a more inexperienced option at quarterback Saturday with Brendan Sullivan reportedly getting the start.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Ben Bryant will be out for the second straight week. Bryant is recovering from an upper body injury he suffered during the Penn State game in September.

Bryant has played at multiple schools during his college career. He started off at Cincinatti. After a few seasons there, he transferred to Eastern Michigan for the 2021 season before returning to the Bearcats in 2022. Bryant transferred to Northwestern this offseason.

Bryant has played in 45 games so far while Sullivan has appeared in five games from 2022-2023. Sullivan started in the last game against Howard and led the team to a 23-20 win.

Heinrich Haarberg should be starting once again for the Cornhuskers. Haarberg has 631 yards passing, 352 yards rushing, and 7 total touchdowns through six games played.

Nebraska and Northwestern both sit at 3-3 coming into the matchup. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
