The 2019 Early Signing Period goes from Wednesday, Dec. 18 to Friday, Dec. 20. Many commits signed, flipped or made their decisions on the first day of the period.

Some have waited, though. One of those was 4-star wide receiver Zavier Betts. Betts, from Belleview, Nebraska, is rated as the No. 1 player in the state according to 247Sports Composite.

He is also the No. 21 WR in the Class of 2020 and the No. 107 overall recruit regardless of position. At 6-foot-2, Betts certainly has the size alone to make a difference at the next level.

On Friday, Betts made his decision:

This is a massive get for the Huskers. Betts had verbally committed to Nebraska on April 3, 2019. But, a verbal commitment is a verbal commitment — especially seeing all the flipping that went on the first day the period was open.

Betts is now the 23rd player to sign his letter of intent to play at Nebraska in the Class of 2020. That entire Huskers class can be found here.

It now ranks No. 20 nationally and No. 4 in the Big Ten.
