Omar Brown, former FCS All-American, will transfer to Nebraska, per report
The Nebraska Cornhuskers landed an intriguing transfer from Northern Iowa defensive back Omar Brown.
Brown was the 2019 FCS Defensive Freshman of the Year, and he’s already on campus, according to 247Sports’ Allen Trieu. The site is stating they spoke to Brown. During his terrific 2019 freshman season, Brown recorded 77 tackles and 6 INTs and was named an All-American.
The talented defensive back has played in 14 games over the last 2 seasons, and at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Brown is a long, rangy cornerback who could make an impact on the Cornhuskers defense.
Brown has 2 years of eligibility left, and he’ll be ready for spring practice.
He told 247Sports that by transferring to Nebraska, he’ll be able to showcase his talent on a national stage.
Brown will play cornerback for the Cornhuskers defense.
