It’s been a rough start for Nebraska. Fans, players, even head coach Scott Frost has admitted the 0-3 start to the 2018 campaign is a low point in the program’s history.

Frost was upset following the Huskers 56-10 loss to Michigan last weekend, but vowed that it things couldn’t get any worse. He’s stayed optimistic about the direction of the program, and that eventually, Nebraska can enjoy football glory again.

College football analyst Paul Finebaum doesn’t necessarily agree with Frost. In fact, the SEC Network radio host believes Nebraska has been college football’s most disappointing team this season.

“On a long list of people, I would go with Nebraska,” Finebaum said on Get Up! on Wednesday. “You expected more. Scott Frost, the prodigal son, he won a championship there and was the hottest coach in the offseason, but that team has just been a disaster. Every week he says ‘we’re going to learn from this.’ What are you going to learn? Your team is terrible and that’s not entirely on him, but he has to show something.”

It’s worth noting that Frost has been the head coach at Nebraska for all of three games, lost starting quarterback Adrian Martinez at the end of a close game against Colorado and didn’t have the freshman under center against Troy, either.

So while Nebraska’s 0-3 start isn’t exactly what fans, or Frost, had expected, there have been some barricades in the way of success.

The Huskers will try to notch their first win this weekend, hosting Purdue at Memorial Stadium.
